Arthur Underhill of Crowhurst, yeoman, sick 26 Apr 1639 (to be buried in the churchyard of Lingfield; to poor of Lingfield £1; to poor of East Grinstead, Sussex £1)
to my son John Underhill all my land in Godstone bought by my father and I from John Coverthoy, esq., all my household goods in my house at Crowhurst and £100 at 21, but if he dies before then half of land to my younger brother Thomas Underhill and other half to the children of George Underhill and of my sister Mary Underhill equally and his goods and £80 to my brother Thomas Underhill and other £20 to my uncle Richard Cole of East Grinstead and if brother 
Thomas Underhill dies under 21 or without issue half of land to my brother George Underhill's son George; to my sister Elizabeth £10; to my two sisters Mary and Mary [sic] £1 each; if my son John dies, my brother Thomas to pay my sister Mary's two children now living £10 each; to my uncle John Cole £1; to my uncle Richard Cole £1; residue to my father Arthur Underhill and brother George Underhill, execs.
