The following is a transcription of the will provided to me and made by John F Howes - February 2013

In the name of god amen the sixteenth day of July 1682 according to the computation of the Church of England I Thomas Ffeldwicke of Worth in the County of Sussex wheelwright being of perfect memory and remembrance (Praised bee god) doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner & forme following; First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my Maker hopeing that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and redeemer to receive free pardon for my sinnes; And as for my body to bee buried in the Christian buriall at the discretion of my executrix hereafter nominated; 
Item I give unto my daughter Jane Ffeldwicke the summe of ffive pounds to bee paid to her at the age of one and twenty yeares or at the day of her marriage wch shall first happen; And I doe alsoe give unto her one new joyn’d chest, one large square box, three paire of sheets, three pewter dishes and three pewter spoons.
Item all the rest of my goods, debts and chattels whatsoever unbequeathed I give unto my wife Jane Ffeldwicke upon condition that shee shall pay all my debts and legacies and make her sole executrix of this my last will and testament;
And I doe nominate and ordaine my uncle Walter Arnold of Worth aforesaid overseer of this my last will and testament;
In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written Thomas Ffeldwicke sealed, punlished and read in the presence of John Nicholas. The marke of Richard Pratt, John Pratt his marke
