The following is a transcription of the will provided to me and made by John F Howes - March 2013

In the name of god amen I John Ffeldwick of the parish of Cowfold in the county of Sussex being sick & weake in body but of sound & perfect mind & memory (thanks be to almighty god therefore) doe make, ordain & declare this my last will & testament in manner & form following. First and principally I commend my soule into the hands of Almighty God my creator hoping by and through the meritts, death & passion of his son Jesus Christ my alone saviour to be made partaker of eternall bliss and happiness. And my body I commit to the earth to be intered decently at the charge & discretion of my loving wife Elizabeth.
And as to my worldly goods, cattel, chattells, corne and all other my personall estate whatsoever I doe hereby give and bequeath same to my said loving wife Elizabeth whom I doe hereby make & declare full& sole executrix of this my last will & testament desiring her to pay & satisfy all my debts.
And lastly I doe hereby revoke all former & other wills& testaments whatsoever by me heretofore made. And I do appoint & declare this only to be my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I the said John Ffeldwick have hereunto sett my hand & seale the eight & twentieth day of ffebruary in the first year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George by the grace of god of Great Britain, Ffrance (the marke and seale of John Ffeldwick) and declared by the said John Ffeldwick the testator as his last will & testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names aa witnesses hereto in his presence,
John Savage, Richard Skinner, Henry Buttenjers.

Probate in Latin to Elizabeth Ffeldwick on 16 April 1715.
