The following is a transcription of the will provided to me and made by John F Howes - March 2013

In the name of god amen I Henry FFaulkner of Westhathely in the county of Sussex yeom, being sicke in bodye but of good, sound and pfect memory thanks be unto Almighty God, doe hereby make and ordayne this my last will and testamt in manner and forme following Ffirst and principally I comitt my soule unto the hands of Almighty god my maker, hopeing assuredly through the onely mercies and meritts of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer to have pardon and foregiveness of all my sinnes and offenses And as to my body I comitt to the earth from whence it came to be decently buried according to the discretion of my executrix hereafter named
Item As to my messuage tenemt and lands lying and being in Bawcombe in the county of Sussex late Newmans and called the Westupps that I have this p’sent day of the date of this my will surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the Mannor of Keymer by the ------- of Edward Ffaulkner and Ninyon Tasker  two customary tenants of the said mannor to the use of my last will and testament I the said lands unto Anne ffaulkner my loving wife until such time as my sonne Valentine Ffaulkner shall attain unto the age of eight and twentie yeares
 I give the forsiad messuage tenements and lands unto him the said Valentine Ffaulkner his heores and assignes for ever.
Item I give and bequeath unto my said sonne Valentine Ffaulkner tenne pounds to be paid by my executrix hereafter named when he shall attain the age of one and twenty years.
Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Benjamin Ffaulkner the sume of tenne pounds to be paid likewise unto him when he shall attain the age of one and twenty yeares
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susana Ffaulkner the sume of two hundred pounds to be paid likewise unto her  when he shall attain the age of one and twenty yeares
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Ffaulkner the sume of one  hundred pounds to be paid likewise unto her  when he shall attain the age of one and twenty yeares.
And as for all the rest and residue of my goods, cattel, chattels, moneys, rights and credits whatsoever I have or in any manner or way is due and owing to me from any p’son or p’sons whatsoever, to any security whatsoever I give and bequeath the same unto my loving wife Anne Ffaulkner whom I doe hereby make my sole executrix of this my last will and testament
In witness whereof I the said Henry Ffaulkner to this my last will and testament have hereunto sett my hand and seale the two and twentieth day of May in the xxviijth yeare of King Charles the second over England and annoq dmi 1676 I henry Ffaulkner
read signed sealed and published in the p’sence of us –---  and the words eight undersigned was enter line & before the signing and sealing thereof in the p’sence of Edward Ffaulkner, Ninyon Tasker, Alex Luxford.
