This is the last Will and Testament of me Charles Dungate of Westhoathly in the County of Sussex apothecary made this twenty first day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty one as follows.  First I will and desire that my body be decently buried as private as possible by my executor and as to my worldly estate I dispose of as follows. 
I give and bequeath all my estate whatsoever or wheresoever both real and personal and whether in possession reversion or expectancy unto my brother Richard Dungate of Mayfield in the said County of Sussex Gentleman and to his heirs and assigns for ever to his and their own proper use and uses and I make and appoint my said brother Richard Dungate whole and sole executor of this my last Will and revoke all former Wills by me made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament. 
In witness whereof I the said Charles Dungate the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.  Charles Dungate.
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Charles Dungate the testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.  Benjamin Maynard;  Thomas Maynard;  Mary Cumber

On the twenty second day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty eight administration (with the Will annexed) of the goods chattels and credits of Charles Dungate late of Westhoathly in the County of Sussex deceased was granted to Mary Dungate widow the relict of the said deceased (for that Richard Dungate the brother of the said deceased sole executor and universal legatee named in the said Will renounced the execution thereof) she having been first sworn duly to administer
