The following is a transcription of the will provided to me and made by John F Howes - March 2013

In the name of god amen 1624 April the first I Thomas Browne being in pfecte mynde I thank god for it doe bequeath my soule to Almighty god and my body to be buryed in the churchyard of Waldron or Heathfield;
First I doe give to Alice my wife one shortbed and the one payre of the best sheetes and three payre of the worst also one covering, two blanketts with one pillow; Also I give unto her two pewter platters & two pewter dishes wth spoons & trewhers?;Also one joined cheste and one square; Also one iron pott, a brasse posett, twoo firkins and a keeler & one brewing tub;
Also I doe give to Thomas my sonne twelve pence;
Also to my sonne Mathew twelve pence also unto my sonne ffrancis twelve pence;
Also I doe give unto my sonn Thomas’ sonne Thomas the long table in the hall and a thin cheste in the chamber.
My debts and legacys being paid I doe make my daughter Amity whole executor and I do give unto her all the residue of my goods unbequeathed by mee Thomas Browne;
Sealed in the presence of William Glasier, the marke of Stephen Mathew, William Gray.
