Edward Tidey birth details are unknown but he was possibly born around 1650, possibly in the Lingfield area. He married Elizabeth in about 1675. Edward left a 'Will' proved on 9th August 1686 (shown as Tidy) and he was buried on 4th June 1686 in Lingfield, Surrey (shown as 'Tydee').

  1. Edward Tidey was born around 1676 possibly in Kent or Lingfield area. He was buried on 9th June 1683 in Lingfield, Surrey (' son of Edward Tydie')
  2. John Tidey was probably born around 1678 possibly in Kent or Lingfield area and he was mentioned in his father's will of 1686 as under 21. He was buried on 18th November 1692 in Lingfield, Surrey (shown as 'Tydee').
  3. William Tidey was probably born around 1680 possibly in Kent or Lingfield area and he was mentioned in his father's will of 1686 as under 21. He married Elizabeth. Details of William Tidey & Elizabeth are shown separately as they are direct ancestors.
  4. Robert Tidey was probably born around 1682 possibly in Kent or Lingfield area and he was mentioned in his father's will of 1686 as under 21. He married Elizabeth. Robert & Elizabeth had three known children. Robert was buried on 14th April 1765 in Lingfield, Surrey (shown as 'Tyde'). Elizabeth was buried on 28th December 1764 in Lingfield, Surrey (shown as 'Tyde')
    1. Ann Tidey was baptised on 16th November 1718 in Lingfield, Surrey and she was buried there on 28th March 1720 ('daughter of Robert Tidye').
    2. Edward Tidey was baptised on 19th March 1720 in Lingfield, Surrey.
    3. Susanna Tidey was baptised on 1st July 1725 in Lingfield, Surrey.
  5. Ann Tidey was probably born arond 1684 possibly in Kent or Lingfield area and she was mentioned in her father's will of 1686 as under 21.

Wills

  1. Edward left a will dated 16/03/1686 which was proved on 9th August 1686. He left 5s to each of his four children ( John, William, Robert & Ann- when they reached age 21) and the rest to his wife Elizabeth.
