Thomas Rivers Comber

Thomas held property called 'Philpots' (or Barleylands) at West Hoathly, Sussex. He was mentioned in Chancery proceedings of 1616 as then dead. Plantiff in fines concerning lands in Slaugham in 1571/2 and defendant in 1584/5. Defendant concerning fines of lands in West Hoathly in 1596/7. Plantiff in suit concerning lease of Hookeland in 1579 (Chancery Proceedings- Elizabeth C5/31).
