Peter Browne & Eleanor Wooden were not one of my direct ancestors and they may not be related to me as later indirect generations of a direct ancestor.They are part of what I term the West Mid-Sussex Browne's based around Charlwood, Horley, Horsham & Ifield.

Peter Browne (Peeter) was born in about 1600, maybe possibly in Horsham. He married Eleanor Wooden (Elenor) on 29^th January 1622 in Horsham, Sussex. He married secondly Elizabeth. Elizabeth was buried on 2^nd May 1654 in Horsham, Sussex ('wife of Peter senior'). Peter was buried on 24^th March 1659 in Horsham, Sussex (' Householder, poor, senior')
Peter may be related to William Brown 1534 & Magdalene Elsick but the link has not yet been established

Eleanor Wooden birth details are unknown. Eleanor was buried on 9^th January 1641 in Horsham, Sussex (' Ellonor, wife of Peter')

Peter & Eleanor had four children (1-4) and Peter & Elizabeth had one child (5).
