Daniel Tidey was baptised on 11th December 1655 in Rudgwick, Sussex. Daniel was the son of William Tidey (Tide). He married Katherine Lanaway on 18th December 1684 in Rudgwick, Sussex. Daniel was buried on 2nd July 1700 in Rudgewick, Sussex.

Katherine Lanaway's birth details are unknown. Katherine was buried on 13th May 1694 in Rudgewick, Sussex ('wife of Daniel')

  1. Sarah Tidey (Tydie) was baptised on 9th December 1684 in Rudgwick, Sussex ('dau of Daniel & Katherine').
  2. Daniel Tidey (Tidy) was baptised on 6th November 1689 in Rudgwick, Sussex ('son of Daniel'). He married Ann and they possibly had one child. Daniel was buried on 19th July 1748 in Crowhurst, Surrey, (having died on 16th July). Ann died on 26th February and was buried on 28th February 1734 in Oxted, Surrey ('wife of Daniel Tydey').
    1. Daniel Tidey was possibly born in about 1720 in possibly Ockley, Surrey (derived as no birth records found). He married Anne. He was possibly buried on 16th September 1783 in Tandridge, Surrey.
      1. John Tidey (Tydee) was baptised on 30th July 1749 in Oxted, Surrey (son of Daniel). (source is IGI & unconfirmed)
      2. Daniel Tidey (shown as Tydee) was baptised on 22nd December 1751 in Oxted, Surrey (son of Daniel). (Source is IGI & unconfirmed). He married Rosetta Weller on 28th April 1783 in Oxted, Surrey. Rosetta was born in about 1764. Daniel was buried on 19th May 1816 in Oxted, Surrey (' aged 65'). Rosetta was buried on 30th March 1834 in Oxted, Surrey (aged 70'). Daniel & Rose had six known children.
        1. Hannah Tidey was born on 18th January 1784 and was baptised on 1st February 1784 in Oxted, Surrey.
        2. Mary Tidey was born on 25th May 1785 (or 24th!) and was baptised on 19th June 1785 in Oxted, Surrey. (NOTE: It is was originally thought possible that this Mary may have married William Brown (1784) and not the Mary , daughter of William (1755), but this has now been disproved).
        3. Daniel Tidey was baptised on 26th June 1787 in Oxted, Surrey.
        4. Sarah Tidey was baptised on 26th April 1789 in Oxted, Surrey.
        5. Daniel Tidey was born on 24th September and was baptised on 6th October 1793 in Oxted, Surrey.
        6. George Tidey was baptised on 12th October 1796 in Oxted, Surrey. He was buried on 29th March 1832 in Oxted, Surrey ('aged 34').
        7. James Tidey was baptised on 6th September 1801 in Oxted, Surrey.
      3. David Tidey (Tydee) was baptised on 20th July 1755 in Oxted, Surrey (son of Daniel ). (source is IGI & unconfirmed). He was buried on 18th October 1804 in Oxted, Surrey.
      4. William Tidey (Tydee) was baptised on 2nd October 1763 in Oxted, Surrey (son of Daniel & Anne). (source is IGI & unconfirmed)
  3. Henry Tidey (Tydie) was baptised on 4th March 1691 in Rudgwick, Sussex ('son of Daniel'). He possibly had one child.
    1. Henry Tidey was possibly born in about 1720 in possibly in Ockley, Surrey (derived as no birth records found). He married Sarah Martin. Details of Henry Tidey & Sarah Martin are shown separately as they are direct ancestors.
