Border
General History

Thomas Comber & Anne Burstow were one of my 12th generation ancestors.

Key Dates:

Thomas Comber (Rivers Comber) was born around 1570, probably in West Hoathly, Sussex.. He was maybe possibly the son of Philip Comber & Agnes Davis. He married Anne Burstow on 10th April 1596 in Slaugham, Sussex and they lived at ‘Philpots’ (also known as Barleylands), West Hoathly. He was overseer to Ann Brocket nee Payne 's Will of 1631. Thomas left a 'Will' dated 3rd November 1632 and he was buried on 25th February 1633 in West Hoathly, Sussex.(' an aged man'). Ann was probably buried on 5th December 1635 in West Hoathly, Sussex ('an old woman').
(NOTE: there is confusion between this Thomas & Anne and Thomas & Anne of Bunstrove- some children could be of either parents.)
(Thomas may be a son of Thomas Comber see John Comber 1450 ref 2 F i rather than Philip- as shown in SxG)

Anne Burstow birth details are not known, but she was possibly born about 1570. She was the daughter of William Burstow who probably lived in Slaugham, Sussex.
