Philip Comber (c1550) & Agnes Davis

Border
General History

Philip Comber was possibly one of my 13th generation ancestors.

Key Dates:

Philip Comber was born in about 1550 possibly in Lindfield, Sussex. He was the son of Roger Comber & Margey Olive, He was mentioned in his father's 'Will' of 1555 as under 20. He was overseer to his stepfather John Chaloner's 'Will' of 1578. He married Agnes Davis (dau of William Davis of West Hoathly). Philip was buried on 21st August 1625 in West Hoathly, Sussex ('an old man'). Agnes left a 'Will' dated 7th July 1639 and was buried on 25th January 1640 in West Hoathly, Sussex ('a very aged woman'). It is assumed that Philip & Agnes had children (but this is not proven or evidensed)
