Thomas Bland & Hannah Johnson were one of my 5th generation ancestors.

Thomas Bland was born on 12th January 1801 and was baptised on 10th March 1801 in Easingwold, Yorkshire. He was the son of John Bland & Ann Pickersgill. He married Hannah Johnson on 2nd April 1821 in Easingwold, Yorkshire. Thomas died in about November 1874 (aged 73) in Easingwold, Yorkshire.

Hannah Johnson birth details are unknown. Hannah died in about August 1869 (aged 71) in Easingwold, Yorkshire.

  8. Johnson Bland was born in about February 1842, probably in Easingwold, Yorkshire. He was living with his brother John in Snaith in the 1861 census and was shown as an apprentice.

  2. Lots of other Blands in Easingwold in 1841. There was another Thomas born on 18/03/1797 in Easingwold, but the birth date of the one given above is consistent with age shown in the 1861 & 1871 census.
  3. John is (actually shown as son of Thomas, tailor, & Anne, but thought that this is an error . Census shows birth in 1826 and this is only John born then. All other children also show Thomas as a tailor.
  4. Marriage witnessed by Ann Bland, probably Thomas's mother.
